My high school friend whom I haven’t seen in about a decade unexpectedly messaged me on Facebook inviting me to read/perform as part of Hyphen Magazine’s evening at LitCrawl earlier this month. While I’m not shy about readings, this particular proposition — reading the winner of their Erotic Story contest — was something that got me feeling all sorts of demure (teEhEEz!). Aside from some pretty saucy language (it is about foreplay with pho, after all), there was also the question of how to reenact a sexy scene between a couple during a very intimate moment. I think it came together pretty well in the end and I definitely had a blast! Thanks to Hyphen and KC for inviting me!
